CBC REC LEAGUE

Registration for the 23-24 Chatham Rec Basketball Season is now CLOSED! Rec League Season Starts Saturday, Saturday, December 2!

The CBC Rec Basketball League focuses on skill development, team play and having lots of fun playing and learning the game of basketball.

CBC Rec Basketball is open to:

• Chatham Residents
• Boys & Girls
• Grades 3 - 8

Grades 3 through 6 are coached by parents - we need volunteer coaches! All coaches need to complete a Rutgers Safety Training Course and Background Check. Please submit your interest in coaching when you register or contact drew.cloud@outlook.com with questions.

Grades 7 - 8 are coached by Chatham High School players.

• 3^rd grade is an introductory and developmental league, with the early weeks of the season heavily focused on developing important fundamental skills.  Scrimmages and games will be introduced as the season progresses.
• 4th grade league also includes skill development but will introduce more organized games without playoffs.
• 5^th/6^th grade boys and girls leagues are more competitive, with standings and playoffs.  There are also a few modified rules to encourage balanced participation and skill development.
• 7^th/8^th grade boys and girls program is our most competitive league, run by CHS head coaches Todd Ervin and Joe Gaba. Regular season games will be on Saturday mornings.  Playoffs will be weeknights and weekends at the end of February. Teams will be coached by our own High School players, a Chatham tradition which is fun for everyone.
• All sessions are scheduled for 75 minutes at various Chatham Area basketball facilities on Saturdays, usually between 8:30A - 2:00P.
• All players receive a Chatham Basketball Club jersey.
